Ekaterina Tomilovskaya was born in Moscow and now lives between Vietnam and Russia.

Ekaterina Tomilovskaya was always interested in art.
In 1999, while studying at the State University of Management, she took a special course “Fundamentals of non-traditional business (Collecting. The market for works of art and antiquities)” under the guidance of the Director of the ACADEMIA auction house, head of the department of political economy, professor and author of books and manuals Denisov B.A.
In 2017 as Ekaterina Tomilovskaya came back from France where she was working for an automotive company she has started to learn academical drawing and oil painting. From October 2017 to May 2019, Ekaterina Tomilovskaya completed a two-year professional retraining course in “Painting and Drawing” at the non-profit organization “Academic Center for Creativity, Entrepreneurship and Law” with professors from Moscow State Academy of Arts. V. I. Surikova.
Altogether, Ekaterina Tomilovskaya has been studying academic drawing and painting for more than 6 years under the guidance of an artist-graduate of the Moscow State Academy of Arts. V.I. Surikov and the founder of the “Kuvshin” studio Ilya Ivanovich Ptichkin.
Passionate about the art, Ekaterina actively participates in exhibitions and art festivals such as “Drawing the St.Basil’s Cathedral”. Following the results of the last festival in 2022, her work “In the Darkness the Light Shines” was exhibited at the Historical Museum, Red Square, 1.
In general, Ekaterina Tomilovskaya is a fan of impressionism and figurative (figurativism) art styles. More than half of her works were created during plein-airs sessions. Realistic portraits and still lifes occupy a large part in portfolio of Ekaterina Tomilovskaya. Apart of travelling in different countries Ekaterina Tomilovskaya lived and worked as expat in France and Vietnam that gave her opportunities to absorb other cultures and see many world masterpieces with her own eyes.
